Act 1, Scene 7

Macbeth isn’t sure about killing the king. He thinks about why he should kill and reasons why he shouldn’t. He tells Lady Macbeth he doesn’t want to do it. She calls him out as a coward and questions his manhood.

Lady Macbeth plans on making the guards look guilty by making them drunk and smearing the blood on them. Macbeth has hope in Lady Macbeth and agrees to the plan.

Act 1 Scene 5

Macbeth sent Lady Macbeth a Letter of the story of the witches. Macbeth cares alot about his wife. Lady Macbeth wants him to be King but she thinks he us too weak to become King. Lady Macbeth is going to persuade Macbeth to be King.

Lady Macbeth talks to the attendant. Sge asks where Macbeth is and the attendant says he isn’t too far. Lady Macbeth doesn’t want to be woman so she could kill the king and take his place herself.

Lady Macbeths says she will have no remorse and that nothing will stop her.

 

 

Act 1, Scene 4

The Thane of Cawdor is dead. He accepted death. Macbeth and Banquo enter. The King is proud of Macbeth and gave him the title Thane of Cawdor. Banquo gets nothing.

“Stars hide your fires, let not light see my black deep desires.”

Macbeth doesn’t want god to know about him wanting to kill King Duncan and Macbeth is trying to deny the thoughts of killing The King.l

Macbeth Act 1, Scene 2

Was made to keep people interested and to entertain

Not many woman were allowed to watch the perfomamce (only women like the queen or if they were rich) . It could be to do with when women weren’t there they would make jokes towards women.

Only men performed.

“As two spent swimmers, that do cling to each other”

The armies are being compared to swimmers that have no energy hanging on to each to stop driving.

Contemporary English:Like two swimmers with no energy, holding onto each other to live
